not really since the other worlds are pretty much locked off for "proper" user content creation.
Here's a quick rundown of other worlds I tried and why they are not suitable for my work
There.com - You can make stuff but it's 10 US dollars to upload a t-shirt texture and I believe thats all you can upload is textures not 3D models
Lively - if it worked for me I would try to find out if you can make stuff or not. I don't think you can really, at the moment it's all locked off from the users and the only people can make stuff are companies who partner with google.
Twinty - Just sucks, no content creation at all. I think you can display "flat art" there but nothing you can actually build.
HiPiHi - I have tried to build stuff there but failed because it's really stupid the build system plus it's Chinese and lags like a mo-fo so bad.
To cut along story short Second Life for me at the moment wins!
thanks for this - I've heard of people making art in WoW but have never checked it out. I'm surprised about Lively, but maybe once it comes along? maybe.
WoW is more of a MMORPG than a vitrual world in my eyes. The only art you can really make is heavly photoshoping screenshots from the game since there is no content creation in the game.
There is an art place in second life that does some kinda art thing with wow Check it out here
Garry's Mod ftw! I noticed you were using it earlier Mr since steam tells the whole world what game you are playing.
I have garry's mod it's pretty good for doing ragdoll posing. I'm trying to build a giant robot at the moment made from the different models from half life 2 and team fortress 2.
Oh while we are on the subject of ragdoll posing *Geek Mode*
I know that the lindens are working on something simliar to the posing in garry's mod called avatar puppeteering since the source engine that runs half life2/garrys mod has havok 4 simliar to second life.
